Update

Reed loves Vanderbilt so much that he does not want to go home yet! This boy is going to have to be an easy teenager because he has stressed me out so much these past 12 weeks!!!
All of that to say Reed is doing well. They sent him back down to the 5th floor today to have minor surgery. They inserted a chest tube to drain off the fluid around his left lung. After the tube was inserted, he had almost instant relief with his breathing. The extra fluid was due to his feedings, IV fluids, and medicines.
Reed will be moved back to the 6th floor either tonight or tomorrow morning when a room becomes available. The plan of action from here is to work him up to his feedings a little bit slower than before. He will probably be there for another week. I do not want them sending him home until he is totally ready so we are fine staying as long as Reed needs to!
Thank you so much for the prayers. Please continue to pray for Reed, his heart, his feedings, and his overall health!

Bummer. Owen had the same thing after his stage 2 surgery. Then we had to go on specialized formula for six weeks and it made his oral aversion even worse! Hopefully, you can avoid this.

Praying for a quick recovery... always.

I'm so glad that he is doing better. I loved getting to come and visit! Thanks for letting me see that precious boy. I'll be praying that he starts keeping that bottle down.

gram, Agrees with you. He is going to go thru the teens and preteens with a swish and swoosh. I just hope I have gray hair left...Tell that grandson my favorite ride ids the merry-go-round. Its musical slow and not as stressful as a roller coaster. Seriously you have everyones prayers and I'm glad these things are happening before you leave Vanderbilt, cause you would probably be scared you all did something wrong. You tell those boys papa T and gram want to come see them so get with the program. And if its for fear them I'm going to hug and kiss them too much tell them about Ms. Gomez.. I will only have this joy for the next 50 years. xoxoxo in Gods prayers always

Dana
