Snowpalooza 2015

We finally got a good snow/ice storm! This week has been so fun sledding with the kids every day. I am so thankful for Ryan working so hard so that I can stay home with the kiddos and enjoy weeks like this!
I don't fully understand people that are so ready for their kids to go back to school. I miss this time with them and I love having them home. Don't get me wrong, there are times during each day that I am ready to send them off:-) Monday was the first day of the snow and ice, and it was a wet day to sled, but we stayed out there for hours in the drizzling rain and sleet.

These sleds that I bought for dirt cheap three years ago sure did come in handy this year!
On Tuesday, we decided to head over to some of our friends houses in a subdivision a couple of miles from our house. That is one thing about not living in a subdivision is that our kids don't get the fun of having friends right next door but I guess there are pros and cons both ways. This is the view out my window of how I drove to Chad and Meghan's house. There was a 2 inch thick sheet of ice that I did not have the patience to get off. I know this is so not safe but we made it!
Having three kids so close in age is SO much fun!
Man down...
I knew it wouldn't be long before someone got hurt. I think that the ice won the battle with Braden!
On Wednesday, we headed back over to play with some of their friends from church and school.  Reed, Braden and their sweet friend from school, Claire. We stayed all afternoon and played in their subdivision then enjoyed lunch at their house!
Wednesday afternoon, we went to Craig and Tina's to play. I figure that we better soak up all of the time we have while the snow is here!

Can you say Redneck sledding! Craig got a chainsaw and cut off the top of this huge water thing for the kids to ride in.
Craig gave me this new ear warmer that I love! Yes, I totally took a selfie which I rarely ever do!
Thursday, Reed had to go in for his regular blood draw then we went to my parents to sled and eat lunch.  It was really cold but the sun helped out a lot.
Pure JOY...
 True FEAR...
Thankful for my parents who are always excited when we come over and brave the freezing temps for us!  Love them and their amazing example that they are to me!
