Dominican Vaca...Part IV

It's the little things that seem to make a big difference. We enjoyed cappuccinos, ice cream, banana bread, nachos, fries and cheese, omelets every day.
This is part of the reason why I will start my eating good and working out for the new year since the scale put on a few numbers while we were gone, ha!

Priceless! Nanny with her 5 great grands. We hope she is around for many more family vacations.
The best Nana and Papa there is!
The following pictures were taken by either Kylie or Charley. The girls loved playing with my good camera. I think they did pretty good.
Oh my! These two might need to be locked up at 16!
Every trip has to have a little crazy with it. Well, we were supposed to be home in Nashville by Saturday night, but thanks to snow those plans got altered. Our original pick up from the resort was scheduled for 12:00, got moved to 3:00 with a scheduled flight to Charlotte at 7:00 pm. Thankfully, our flight made it out on time but our flight from Charlotte to Nashville was moved to Sunday morning departure of 7:57 am. The check-in an customs took a long time so we got Nanny a wheelchair. Kylie liked this too!
Well, we were all tired by the time we got on the plane from DR to Charlotte and it was 3.5 hour flight. After we made it through customs and picked up our luggage, it was after 11pm.
We decided that we would be better off getting a hotel to sleep for a few hours instead of at the airport. That meant hauling all 12 pieces of luggage, 12 backpacks, 5 really tired kids, and 6 tired adults to get a taxi. Due to the flight delays, it took a while to get our taxis so we waited inside instead of the freezing cold with the guys.
We made it back safely to Nashville with 11 of our 12 pieces of luggage.  We think in the chaos of everything that we left Craig's luggage either sitting outside the Charlotte airport where the taxi dropped us off or inside but not check in.
Thankfully, American called on Monday and had his luggage!! Great trip and wonderful memories!
The boys' writings after break solidifies why we love this trip:-)

Dominican Vaca...Part III

 Pool Time
 Craig and Rosie
The KidZone pool where the kids are doing pool races.
Kylie is a little mom who loves to try to carry Sawyer all of the time
even though she is almost as big as her!
The kids could go in and out of the KidZone all day. The boys loved playing air hockey
Ryan and Craig did spin class on bikes in the pool
They had a cigar making class one afternoon. Tina and I each made one, and we deciding that those things are super easy to make.
Don't worry, these are not lit and we just had a bit of fun with these...especially with Nanny.
She is such a great sport!
The Three Kings Program where the Kings brought our kids each a gift.
Not sure but I don't think the wisemen rode this to see Jesus:-)
Pirate party face painting
We came back to the room one day and they had filled the bath up for the kids!
"Rare", the steakhouse was very good
