It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

This is my favorite time of the year! I just thought I would share a few of my Christmas decorations with you all. I know this is not near as exciting as seeing little kids in their holiday outfits:-)

The Bell's Shower

Some of our good friends, Angela and Derek Bell, are adopting a little girl in January or maybe sooner. They are going to name her Ava Grace which means "voice of grace." This little girl is going to be so lucky to have them as parents. Please be praying for them as they prepare for her arrival and also for the birth mom and all the emotions she too will experience.
Here is the wall hanging that I painted for her nursery. I cannot wait to see it in her room. The verse around the side is Psalm 127:3 which says "Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him."
Angela got a baby sling from Lori. It was the funniest thing watching Angela try to figure out how this thing works with baby Garrett!

Gatlinburg for My Birthday

Part of my birthday present was a trip to Gatlinburg with some of our friends. We stayed in a chalet all weekend, played pool, sat in the hot tub, went shopping and rode go-carts. That was pretty much it. It was a much needed relaxing weekend!

Thanks Ryan for a great, thoughtful gift!

Halloween...a little late!

This was from the youth group Halloween devo. Ryan and I are youth coaches at our church.

Our "young marrieds" class Halloween Party.
Ryan, Zach, Martha Lynn, and I went as the Pacman crew. We made these costumes, as you can tell, as a last minute idea the day before our class party.
Mandi got embarrased when our Sunday school teacher asked what she and Josh dressed as and her reply was "a nice little bunny and a sweet old man"
Doesn't Adam Bryson look just like Adam Sandler in the Wedding Singer?

HU Weekend

Okay, so this is for all of you girls who have been begging me to start a blog (especially Natalie and Amanda)! This won't be near as exciting as the blogs with kids but I'll try.
The weekend in Searcy was great because I got to catch up with all of my college girlfriends.
While we were in Searcy, we got to throw Jaren a baby shower for baby Ellie. We went to dinner that night and had a smaller shower for Amanda and baby Will.

As you can see, poor Emma Cate was worn out. She was so tired that she started falling asleep while eating in her chair. I asked her if she wanted to sit with me and within 10 seconds she was out!
After Amanda's shower, several of us went to Frozen Dee's for dessert. I think that we all laughed until we cried. Mainly due to some old man who couldn't keep his eyes off of Jaren!
I miss all of you girls and I cannot wait to see you all again. Maybe a Florida weekend?!?
