Reed Update

Reed is continuing to do well. He had his two visits this week with Dr. Dodd. On his Monday visit, he weighed in at 9 lbs. 9 oz which was up from the previous Thursday of 9 lbs even! Then on his Thursday visit he weighed in at 9lbs. 15 oz. We are very pleased with his growth this past week. He is still taking his milk by bottle and whatever he doesn't finish he gets through his tube. He has made great progress with his bottle taking. Three weeks ago, he was taking about 10 ml's and this week, he is averaging in around 40 ml's!
Reed absolutely loves the paper that he lies on for his exam. His arms and legs just move ninety to nothing! His heart is still functioning well. I think this is our last week of two times a week visits then we will move to just one visit a week with Dr. Dodd.
Thank you all again for your continued support and prayers. We feel very blessed that Reed is doing so well!

I don't know if you remember me or not, but I was in your Pre-Cal class at Belmont in Spring 2007. I just happened upon your blog, and I wanted to let you know that I will keep Reed & your entire family in my prayers. I'm so glad to hear that everthing is going well for little Reed. :o)

He is looking so good! We are so happy for ya'll! We ran into Elizabeth Fair at the store yesterday. She said that you went to college together. It is a small world. If we can help just let us know.

The boys are adorable. Glad you have this for those of us in KY who don't get to see you all very often. Can't wait to see them in person. If Aunt Mae can share, have her call when you all venture this way!!!

Well we went for a weekend. The boys are more precious in person. They have changed so much since New years. If we didnt have the blog and pics they would not be the same at all. Reed smiles so much and he is so cute when he plays with his hands. Its like he is in deep thought. Braden is so cute and will go crazy when he likes something, he has his eyes on. By that he moves everywhere. he never lays still or sits still he is so inquisitive and wants to talk all the time. If he isn't talking baby talk he is giggling. He gets tired and doesn't want to sleep cause he doesn't want to miss out at all. Keeley and Ryan are such good parents and they have such love for their little ones. They make sure the boys are taken care of 100%. Grandma Linda started the stroller in the house and Braden loves to go go go!!!! Terry went around the house with him and had he not started falling asleep I think they would have left tire marks on the floors. Reed has adjusted real good. I was so afraid he would not want strangers holding him, after a 100 days in the hospital the changes were pretty different. But he loves looking around and he likes to be held. Right now its like a five week with a four month. Because he just got his heart. Pa pa T said the marks on his belly from the tubes are worse than his heart scar. He told me he told Reed tell the girls you were knifed and won the battle. I told him not to start that kind of stuff. He could say a shark got him and he killed the shark. Well we had a great time and can't wait till the next visit. xoxoxo's love always gram . In God's word always
