Four Months

Braden and Reed turned four months old this past Thursday. Time flies when you're having fun! They are so much fun right now even though it is constantly busy. The boys only cry when they are hungry, dirty or tired (I guess that's how most babies are). But when they are tired, they both love to fight going to sleep. I just don't understand why they don't just close their eyes and fall asleep! Did I mention that our boys hate photo shoots!!
Reed has made some great improvement this past week. He is starting to hold his head up much better and has started cooing more. He has also made great progress on his bottle taking the past 3 days. He is supposed to take around 70 mL's and he is taking about 60 on his own each time. This means that he is only on the pump about 10 minutes each feeding! This is huge for him!!! I pray that he is off of this soon but it sure is going to make giving his medicines a whole lot harder. Currently, we can just give him all the meds in the tube but we will have to give them orally when he gets rid of the tube. I welcome that challenge though! Reed has changed so much in the past three weeks that he has been home. He has become much more active and grown a pound and a half! We are so very thankful that he is home and doing great!!!
Braden is very entertaining these days. He loves to giggle and keeps us on our toes all the time. I have a feeling that he is going to be the feisty one growing up. I hate to admit it, but he loves the tv. If he is crying, you can turn him to the tv and he stops. My dad will put his hands in front of B's eyes if he is watching tv, and Braden will start to cry! Braden loves for you to talk to him and he will even carry on a conversation with you. This kid loves to see the world...as long as it involves you walking him around or strolling him around! We were going through some of their clothes trying to get organized and getting rid of the clothes that are too small. Can you find Braden? We found this hat that Amanda gave us in her stack of clothes that Will has out grown. I hope the boys like the water and the beach because we are going this summer.
If the bathtub is any indication if they will like the beach then we are good to go. Braden stayed in the bath the other night so long that his feet shriveled up!
Happy Birthday Paw-Paw!!!

WEll Happy Birthday to you boys 4 months is great. I didn't ever doubt we'd make it this far but sure did get some gray hairs wondering when. Happy Birthday to you also Don. Will have to call you all. The camaflouge hats look great with the overhalls. How cute... Sure do notice every week they change. Not so much that they still aren't as cute as can be. But they do change. PapaT and I are so excited about Reed taking a full bottle we could just sigh in relief. Talk to you all soon xoxxoxo's gram. In God's word always in our prayers.

I'm glad to hear that Reed is getting stronger and stronger. Do not let those boys get addicted to TV! I guess that when you're a mom you'll just do anything that works. Hope your trip to Target went well on Saturday. Heather G. & I were just in the neighborhood so we thought we'd try to stop by. We also tried to go see Natalie...failed at that too.

Happy birthday to your two boys. I came across your blog and couldn't stop reading. Thanks for sharing your story, Ryan and Keeley. We identify with it more than we'd like, but draw encouragement from it as we walk with our little Rudy www.rudysbeat.wordpress.com

Ryan might especially enjoy this post from awhile back http://rudysbeat.wordpress.com/2009/01/01/an-eerie-resemblance/ Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk!

God's continued grace on your family.
