Christmas to New Year's!

Okay, so I guess it is time to post again since Natalie and Mandi tell me that they are tired of looking at my Christmas decorations! Sorry, but I have to post one more time about the holidays. To be quite honest with you, I was somewhat dreading the holiday season. Since Kyle, my brother, passed away, I knew that this Christmas would be very different. I have to say that my family handled this year much better than I thought we would. The season was filled with a lot of happiness, tears, and joy. (I was especially glad that 2007 was over!) Our God is a great God, and He continues to bless my family and guide us through each day.

Here are some pictures from holiday parties, Christmas and New Year's. The first few pictures were from game night at our house. The girls lost and we had to go sing Xmas carols to a lady across the street. I think that we made her day.

Christmas with my family which included Tina(my sister-in-law), Craig(my brother), my grannies, mom, dad, Ryan and me.

Hanging out with friends one night over the break.

K- I have been thinking about you a lot over the past few weeks. I am so glad that things went better than you thought. I was hoping that would be the case. Your belief in God and trust in Him no matter what happens in life is such an encouragement. I think that is how we are supposed to be and you are living it. I love your pics and am glad you are doing well. Love ya!

Keeley, I found your blog thru Sarah's. I am so glad you had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year. I remember the first holidays being so different after my dad passed away but thankfully the Lord gives us strength in our time of need. Glad your family is doing well. Take care! Michelle H.

Hi Keeley,

You may not remember me, but I went to HU and went through the PR program with Jaren. I saw your comment on Melanie's blog. I was wondering if you could give me Jaren's address... I'm out of touch with so many people! You could leave it in a comment on my blog or e-mail it to me at hkrhodes@yahoo.com.

I'm amazed that your whole HU group remains in such close contact! I don't know how y'all do it! But it speaks volumes of the strength of your friendships. I'm truly impressed. I'm sorry to hear that you lost your brother. It's such a blessing that you have such a close group of friends to encourage you in difficult times. You look great. -Hannah (Rhodes) Rogers
